Buddy SportsHolly SpringsBuddy Sports is a program for special needs children ages 5-13 with varying levels of ability. Sports include: soccer, T-ball, basketball, gymnastics and tennis. Classes meet for an hour on Saturday mornings, usually at the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center.Fees are $20 for residents and $30 for nonresidents. Lacrosse AcademyThe North Carolina Lacrosse Academy is currently holding registration for its fall programs for boys and girls in grades first through 11th. Girls? programs will begin Sept. 8 and boys? programs will begin Sept. 9 at Centennial Middle School on the N.C. State University campus, 1900 Main Campus Drive, Raleigh. To register, visit www.nclaxacademy.com. SoccerApex Coed AdultThis is a competitive adult soccer program for ages 25 and up. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons with the possibility of some Saturday afternoons as well. Eleven x 11 league play will start Sunday, Sept. 9, and will end mid-November. Registration ends Friday, Aug. 17. Registration is by teams only. Fees are $31 for each resident and $56 for each nonresident player. Teams will be coed and have a maximum of six players for the 8-and-under team and eight players for the 10-and-under team. Ages determined as of Dec. 31. Matches will be played on Friday nights, and practices will be held on Sunday afternoons. Practices start late August and matches conclude late October. Registration is held at the Apex Community Center during normal business hours. Fees are $40 for residents and $55 for nonresidents. Players must be a current member of USTA. If you would like to play but do not have an opponent, stop by the Cary Tennis Park office and add your name to the board to find out about other players who are looking for matches.
